Tap in your message and we turn your words into the star of their of their own little movie. This isn't just clever software, each MovieText has been crafted over weeks or even months by a very experienced filmmaker.

Once you've chosen your MovieText, entered your message and sending information, we'll deliver it for you. Either by e-mail or to a mobile phone.

It'll be sent immediately unless you specify another date. We can send it at any time - up to one year in the future. So if, for instance, there's a birthday that you don't want to forget, personalise it now and we'll send it on the day.

You can send the same personalised MovieText to dozens of people. You may have a Christmas greeting or a party invitation with the same message for all your friends. If your message is too long (there's a 120 character limit), you can send the rest of it in the additional text box  (e-mail only). That'll take up to another 500 characters.

John Clive came up with the idea for MovieTexts in an airport in Oslo in late 2004. He had just been hanging an exhibition of his digital art in Norway and he had a long wait for his plane to London. In the newspaper was an article about the launch of 3g phones. He read about all the things you could do with 3g and thought, 'What if?'

He got together with two friends, Phil Partridge, a Bafta winning TV producer and another friend Peter Mac, a really experienced programmer, and they worked their socks off for two years.

Apart from being a digital artist, John's other hat is as a filmmaker. He's spent the past couple of decades directing drama, comedy and TV commercials. The one most people remember is the Anchor dancing cows. But he'd like it to be known that he has done others. About 300 in fact.
